Esho Desh Gori is a non- Political and non- government development organization. It was established on 16th October, 1982 in response to the felt needs of the area with the active initiative of local youths, social workers, educationist and philanthropist.
The main focus of “Esho Desh Gori” is to promote the Socio-economic status of the distressed people through Organization building, Training, education and income generating activities by mobilizing local resources especially manpower, environment water and soil.
Guided by its own constitution, Esho Desh Gori (EDG) governed by nine (9) members’ Executive board and Chief Executive. There is a 37 member General Council, the supreme authority of the organization. Out of them 9(nine) member Executive Committee is elected triennially for executing its Program and Policy making. All the policies of “Esho Desh Gori “ is being implemented by a modest staff headed by the “Chief Executive” who is accountable for Program implementation, administration and finance .Esho Desh Gori stresses on Women development since they are highly deprived and oppressed along with that of the male partners.
Now Esho Desh Gori (EDG) is engaged in facilitating wide range of development initiatives in Kurigram districts independently. It has been working for neglected and deprived people. It has long experience on issue such as Education, Women Empowerment Capacity Building Livelihood Improvement Gender Equality, Agriculture Development of person with disability, Rights and Governance, Disaster mitigation and management as demanded by different Real situations. EDG come close to people with particular emphasis on the situation of women. EDG realized that women empowerment is very prior to all for development and have been taking significant measures to change conditional and position of rural men and women.
EDG starting its activities is implementing similar categories of area. Now EDG is a one of the well reputed and important local Non Government Organization in the district and operating many effective projects both by partnership of National and International Development agencies.

Mission: Socio - economic development of the poor including women and children.

Development of distressed and under-privileged Community including women and children.
Objectives:
· To help the disadvantage people become self –reliant through developing their skills and creating self employment opportunities
from them.
· To accelerate social development by insuring gender equality in all levels.
· To create social opportunities for the women, children, disabled and hardcore poor engaged in hazardous and disgraceful occupations.
· To build awareness and take necessary steps for the development of public health and environment protection and spread of
quality education.
· To take effective measure to create awareness of citizen rights, democratic values and good governance.
